Attorney review required
This policy is a launch-ready draft for product planning and must be reviewed by a qualified attorney before public launch.
Respect for rights
CypherClub respects artists, writers, producers, performers, creators, beat makers, labels, publishers, and copyright owners. Users must only upload, record, publish, share, or distribute content they have the rights to use.
What this policy covers
This policy covers copyright concerns involving recordings, beats, samples, vocals, lyrics, images, profiles, published songs, shared links, creator content, chat content, and other materials available through CypherClub.
Before submitting a notice
If you are unsure whether content infringes your rights, consider contacting a qualified attorney. Misrepresenting infringement can have legal consequences.
DMCA takedown notice
To submit a copyright complaint, provide:
- Your full legal name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
- The exact CypherClub URL or enough information for us to locate the material.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Submit notices through the Support page with the Copyright category or through the contact method shown in the app.
What CypherClub may do
CypherClub may remove, restrict, hide, disable, or preserve content in response to copyright reports, legal requests, safety concerns, or repeat infringement. We may notify the user who uploaded the content when appropriate.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice with:
- Your full legal name and contact information.
- Identification of the removed material and its prior location.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction required by applicable DMCA rules.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat infringers
CypherClub may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly infringe copyright or repeatedly upload content without proper rights.
Beat licenses and publishing
Access to a beat in CypherClub does not automatically grant unlimited commercial rights, distribution rights, sync rights, sample clearance, or ownership rights. Beat usage, download, publishing, and commercial permissions may depend on the beat, license, membership tier, and creator terms.
Publishing through Cypher Club Records requires users to confirm they have rights to publish their recording. That confirmation does not transfer ownership to CypherClub and does not guarantee that the record is legally cleared for commercial release outside the platform.
False claims
Submitting false copyright claims, abusive takedowns, or fraudulent counter-notices may result in account action and possible legal consequences.
